Cattle worming before housing this winter

    Any advice on what system you use. Before I used only inject the cows with trodex 2-3 weeks after housing and maybe use up any remaining Ivomectin injection I had left over.My reasoning was that they wouldn't pick up anything while inside and by the end of the winter the life cycle of the worm./parasite is broken
    This year Im considering using Closamectin injection but Ive heard the because of the heatpack you have to use it all up once activated.. Did anyone use it or was it the pour-on they went for?

    Anyone I'm speaking to seem to be using the pour-on but it's more expensive. It is handier I suppose but nothing wrong with the injection. Anyone using 8in1 anymore I wonder:confused:

    AFAIK the heatpack is reuseable - just put it into hot water to breakdown the solid. Plus you dont neccessarily need it, just keep the bottle in the house for a day or two, its only when it gets cold that the injection isnt as fluid/runny which makes it harder to give. The 100ml size doesnt even come with a heatpack.
