what BMX to get help?

Sorry if this is in the wrong place..

My 11 year old wants to get a good BMX he has a rooster at the min which he tells me is totally crap and way to heavy

I am thinking of getting him either the mongoose mischief 2010 the logo 2011 or the micron 2011 is there anyone here who could tell me which would be the best and the lightest? I know he has his heart set on a Sunday or We The People bike but budget just wont stretch that far do you think one of those would be a good second best?/

As far as companies go I would rate SE above Mongoose. Can you post links to the mongoose bikes you are looking at. What weight and height is your son and is riding skateparks or dirt or street? I have a Hoffman bike that is for sale that might suit. It's a full cromo frame and has 18" wheels rather than 20" . It's basically like a smaller version of their pro bikes without the usual corner cutting that you usually get with kids bikes. I'll post a picture of it when I get home later. I'm looking for €250 for it. Oh and it is in preety much new condition as my stepson that I got it for just wasn't into bmx despite my best efforts at brain washing

thanks for the reply but decided to just get him a mongoose found one online used for €50 so even tho reviews of them seem to be crap i think it will do him as a starter bike. He is mad into taking things apart and putting them back together and has just fixed up an old bike by himself so hopefully he can just use this to learn a few tricks then maybe get himself the bits and he can make his own!!!

Decided to give the younger lad the mongoose and get one of these for the older lad any ideas which is best?
