Earlier this evening in Helsinki, our Minister for European Affairs, Dick Roche TD, was elected Vice President of the ELDR, having received over 67% of the vote from 57 different parties. A good victory for Ireland

ELDR = European Liberal Democratic party in the European Parliament. To give Roche his dues, he's been a good Minister for European Affairs, much as he was an utterly disastrous Minister for the Environment.
