Anyone using the Irish Times App. I registered an account on their site and was supposed to get an email to confirm registration, but didn't get one.

I was able to download yesterday's and today's paper, but no mention of a price. I'm assuming there is some kind of a trial period, however it's not very clear if this is the case.

Would be interested to hear how other's are finding this app.

read the reviews on the app...it's supposed to be shocking....barely any stories and being charged for it? ..screw that..

Better off to download twitter and add the indo so you can track stories.
Other great news apps are CNN, BBC, Rueters, RTE News 3G etc...and all free..

It's another, newer app, it came out this week. That other one is appalling, much like their The Ticket app. This one gives you an actual digital copy of the paper, still, you can still read nearly all the content on the Irish Times website. The I Times has now 3 apps out, I wonder why they don't combine them all?

or use Google reader, and add all the RSS feeds from your favourite news sources, web sites, I have been using it for a couple of years and it is excellent, both on the iPhone and PC.

Yeah, I wouldn't recommend any of the Irish Times apps. Get Reeder instead - it uses Google Reader and is the best RSS app on the iPhone/iPad - and then subscribe to all the IT's RRS feeds here. Reeder can also be set to use Instapaper's mobilizer, which will extract all the text so you don't have to zoom in on the IT's ugly website.
