Oh sorry, i should have added you will need a cd or dvd disk and burn the iso file using a free image burner simply called imgburn.

ikeano29, telling someone to pirate software to solve their problem is not only dodgy (would you seriously trust a pirated software item to be malware-free?!) but also against the charter.

    OP:
Depending on what version of Windows you're running there are different things you can try.
However, if all else fails, go to this site and download the software. This is a legitimately-free, Linux-based utility that allows you to blank or reset passwords on Windows machines. You'll need to save the .ISO file to a computer, then burn it to a CD. If you need software to burn the CD, you can download CDBurnerXP or ImgBurn for free.

Please note that using this utility is not 100% without risk - it's always possible to cause problems with a Windows system by writing to the SAM database with an external utility.

I've used this numerous times: http://pogostick.net/~pnh/ntpasswd/

Tried it on both XP and VISTA and it worked perfectly but if you have any encrypted files on the PC they will be lost

Usual stuff: read the manual, if you're not sure don't do it and if you screw up your machine don't blame me please
