Not a great discussion thread, have looked already on the Net but what is the percentage of people employed in the public sector including the HSE.

In 2008 it was 1 in 7 in the workforce, according to a state agency employee I was working with who would be familiar with such things.

I can't tell you, without looking myself, more than that - for example, is that 1 in 7 of those working (at the time) or of all people available to work.
