Irish men...opinion of the american women??

Honestly, I have heard different things of what to expect when going to Ireland.
I'm not going to Ireland to hook up with anyone, but how can you go to another country and not be abit interested in the opposite sex?
I want answers, straight forward and through some other stuff in there if you would like. Just getting an overview of it all. I definately expect to here some banter on here, so bombs away.

1. Does the southern accent get on your nerves?
2.You think were stuck up.
3.Should I definately stay away from temple bar if I dont want some guy hitting me up because he wants a one night stand with a foreigner?
4. What do you find attractive about american women or unattractive (please leave out the fact that alot of american are fat, lol)?
5. a story about when you met an american women?

Depends on the women really Id tend to look at her and not where's she from the accent is a turnoff tho not the deep south or Texas accents but the sort of accents that American women have on the telly (Like OMG etc etc that accent)

I can only speak in general terms having meet only a few American women and never having dated any but I would say of the ones I meet there negative qualities tended to be how loud and over confident they were. How confidence is often fine and an admirable quality but with the girls I have meet it presented itself in the fact that they never thought themselves wrong and took over conversations.

Positive qualities where despite the serotypes of fatness most took care of their appearance had a good figure dressed well. Also the stupidity many people associate with Americans was not really there at all but I guess these were American women who had traveled outside of America so know a bit more of the world.

I'm Irish and live in a college town in the States.

There are two southern accents. One is a soft, subtle accent that's adorable. The other one sounds like you're an annoying hick.

Some are. No worse than many women from south Dublin.

Don't go to Temple Bar if you want to find Irish guys. You will find people looking for a one-night-stand wherever you go, but you will find genuine people also.

Attractive: brown eyes, more naturally-tanned skin than here.

Unattractive: the way a lot of American women dress is more "out there" than I personally like.

Extremely cute law student hears my accent at a party, "OMG you're Irish!" It takes approximately 0.8 seconds to have chatted her up sufficiently to get her number. We seem to get on well. Somebody produces a bottle of wine, I don't remember too much after this... only the sense the next morning that I should apologise to people. She doesn't seem all that interested anymore when I text a couple of days later. You live you learn :pac:

I like the the southern accent though i suspect most wouldnt. I also like all the trappings of the south but they get a hard time in the media which is pretty much our only reference for it in ireland

i was in a queue for the cloak room in the savoy in cork one night when a girl in front of me turned around and asked me if i brought my spoon.

now, earlier in the night i was at a 21st, and was in the kitchen of the pub eating some food when i saw all these spoons and thought that it was time that we had more than one teaspoon in the student house, so i grabbed 5 or 6 of them.

so when the girl in the savoy asked me if i had a spoon, i took out the ones that i 'borrowed' from the pub. and she thought i was a weirdo!!

American girls are fcuking awesome. That's my own experience at least!

I love the southern belle, but that's just me, some just wouldn't.
People who travel are generally not stuck up in my experience.
Temple Bar is most likely to get you nothing but a ONS because most people who go out there aren't actually from dublin, particularily at weekends
American girls (from experience) know how to handle themselves as people, and are generally fun.
Not gonna tell any stories just yet because the story is still being written.

1. Love the southern accent. Its a big plus.
2. No ive found Americans to be very friendly people in general.
3. Stay away from temple bar, its a kip. Loads of better places in Dublin.
4. Positives: Up for fun, generally not shy, different perspective on life. Negatives: Sometimes naive, may not always get our sense of humour, may have trouble understanding Irish accent.
5. I met an American girl, she said hi and I said hows it going.
