What a load of bullcrap, €409 first of all for those standard of headphones and second you need more to get studio quality music, much more.

If you want studio quality music, get some Sennheiser HD800s (€1,120), a good amplifier (€500+) and a good DAC (€500+). Then you will have a great set up, but the things Dre is pushing is not worth the amount you are paying and you simply can't plug a headphone into a Comp and get superb quality, impossible.

In reality, the speakers they have in their studio are worth €12k-€16k but I heard the HD800s before at a convention and they were heavenly :)

I have a pair of Studio Beats, I love them too much. I paid €190 for them on ebay and the quality is just amazing. A few of my mates told me I was insane for paying that much, so I gave them a listen and they were all shocked at how good they were and all want a pair of their own. Im sure the new Pro's will be better in some way but im delighted with my studios and its not worth upgrading.

I'm just making the point that they are not studio quality. Definitely a step up from €50-€60 headphones. It's just the what the advertising says, you need to spend thousands to get actual studio quality sound.

    So don't buy them.

I'm no music technician, but I would happily spend €180 on a pair of Beats Solos. The market is not the same. The typical 'Beats' customer does not have a home studio with state of the art equipment. Most of them would use their Beats with their iPod/iPhone. And they look pretty good too :pac:

Sorry, just educating people who don't know much about high-end headphones. I have listened to many at conventions and the Beats from what I have heard aren't worth €300-€400. Have a sconse at the reviews. Beats is ranked #57 on the list, this is a hardcore audio community.

    Just a bit of knowledge.
