Signing of ACTA

It's a consent procedure at the European level, which means that the European Parliament has to consent to the passage of legislation by an absolute majority of votes cast.

If you want to oppose it at the EU level, therefore, you'd write to your MEP. You can write to all the Irish MEPs, and encourage other people to do the same.

Further to that, it would be worth finding out which MEPs are specifically involved in looking at the legislation on behalf of the Parliament.

The people who are likely to oppose this are the Foundation for a Free Information Infrastructure, who were heavily involved in the successful campaign against software patents. Within Ireland, you should probably talk to Digital Rights Ireland.
