Ah so that was you, just near elements? I thought I saw you out of the corner of my eye but I wasn't sure!

I also, saw Kateos2 today, you were walking past Elements, while I was in Elements

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,590 ✭✭✭Pigwidgeon

Elements seems to have been the place to be today.

They've started opening late again, which is always nice. Pleasant end to a stupidly long day.

Jaysus I was in Elements today at 1.30 also - didn't see any boardsies though. Really nice place though!

I saw the lovely almostnever today. Bumped into her while she was seeking out a lecture theatre on my end of campus, so I directed her to it but dragged her along for a delicious milkshake as she'd a half hour to kill before the lecture. Who has 6pm lectures?! Feck off, law department.

    6pm lecture? Ouch!

I start at 9am on Tuesday and finish at 6pm, but it's not so bad that I have 4 hours back to back in the morning, 4 hours free, then another lecture.

It's the silly Intro to Microeconomics - Monday 9am, Tuesday 5pm, Wednesday 9am - the lecture itself is fine but the times are nasty.

I had that last year, it's like they don't want you to go. You may go to them all now, but give it a few weeks. Although, you live on campus, so it's not as bad as it was for me! Pretty sure macro next semester was the same!

I don't do 6pm finishes this year, let alone 6pm lectures! Thankfully my timetable means the latest I'll finish is 5pm, and I have one 1pm and one 2pm finish each week this semester. YAY. \o/ Having several hours back-to-back is painful - I have a 5 hour run of lectures every Tuesday morning which is a killer. You can use large gaps to your advantage though with assignments and the like! :)

All my lectures this year are at 6:00 PM :pac:

I saw one of the two people behind the MISU account this evening. She waved and said hi. She doesn't post in this forum, but she is advertising Boards in the college to drum up support for a (proposed) new Mary I Forum.

Start to a lovely portion of my day, tbh! :)

And I had 5 (maybe 6, I'm not entirely sure!) hours off before that lecture. I need to learn how to use the freaking library or I will die. :pac:

Pretty much every year in Mary I we had multiple 9 O'Clock starts and 6pm finishes. We had at least one 9-6 non stop each semester. Kids these days...

Ah the oul B.Ed, I'm guessing.

My brother missed out on the B.Ed in St. Pats and is instead doing the BA. I was just looking at the timetable of them both. The difference between the B.Ed and the BA is huge. The B.Ed is a lot more intense, much more hours, with things relevant to teaching thrown in, such as Gym, Teaching Practice, and Gaeltacht at the end of the year. He is probably at a significant disadvantage by doing the BA instead, but it probably still is a wiser option than repeating - he missed the course by 55 points and it's hard to jump up that much while repeating.

But yea, my course (Actuarial Science) in UCD only has 23 hours (actually less but I'm doing both my electives in the first semester) but it is still tough enough - and apparently the difficulty goes way up in 3rd year and that.

    Time will tell though.

Bumped into ohthebaby today in the library. <3 Had a bit of a whispered chat before she had to leave for the History section, while I remained in the hell of my own making.
I hit the wall at four o'clock or so. It was horrific.

It worries me greatly that she is lurking around the History library not even a week into the term. This does not bode well for me :pac:

Well, I've spent a good fifteen hours in the library this week and haven't been able to find anything I've been looking for. :pac: Yay, lack of productivity!

Anyway, the exams aren't until May or something. Take it handy. :p

I have no idea. Did we have the chats? Big fan of the chats.

I did take up residence there a bit this week... so it wouldn't be a huge shocker!

I think I saw A Neurotic in the Arts Block today, sometime between 5 and 5.30. Didn't say hi though, because:
    a) I wasn't sure it was him and
    b) practically everyone I said hello to today didn't seem to know who I was (including the girl who I thought for like, a second, was ohthebaby) and that wasn't fun. So yeah. :p
