If they opened a base at Shannon airport, it could easiily siolve the airport's slump problem. Anyone agree?

No. Because they wont be opening any flights in Ireland again for a long long time.

Ryanair would be delighted to put on flights on the same route at a much cheaper fare. It wouldn`t be the first time

it could only do good, but it'd never be allowed, its obvious the govt and the DAA want to shut shannon down,

I used to work as a dispatcher and I found the Easyjet people incredibly useless. Hated dealing with them. If Ryanair can't make a go of it then Easyjet surely won't.

    Why?

Easyjet came to Ireland before- Ryanair promptly doubled frequency on the Gatwick flights (on which they competed) and offered significantly cheaper fares and better timings hence Easyjet were not impressed. Ryanair also cut their Knock-Gatwick flight after that.
