What level is the Higher national diploma in business?

    with regards to back to education allowance. i applied and i ticked the box that says is this a 2nd or 3rd level course. now im hoping its 2nd because that would mean i qualify.

    i always thought university degrees were 3rd level and plc colleges and higher national diplomas are 2nd cant anyone clear this up

    plc courses are 2nd level.

    actually, plc courses are 3rd level, secondary school are 2nd level

    Yeah, anything that is level 6 and above on the NFQ is third level. The Leaving Cert is level 5.
