Science Recheck

    Hi.

    I got a C in HL science for my JC and I think I should have gotten better. I put SOOOO much work into the write ups. Although I did think the written paper was hard I still don't think I deserved a C. I know it's only the JC but I hate seeing a C beside science when we had such a brilliant teacher. Also I was wondering how much is it for a recheck?

    I think it's 40 euro.

    Unless you're absolutely certain you did better than a C, it's not worth it.

    I'm pretty sure it's 32 euro which is refunded if your grade is changed. However, you apply through the school & your principal has to talk to your 3rd year teacher to see if they think that you should have done better. If they say no your exam isn't rechecked.

    Did you talk to your Science teacher yourself to see what they think?

    Seriously :eek: So if the C becomes a B i get my 32 euro back? no i'm going to talk to her tomorrow and look over the paper properly if I can find one.. My Irish teacher approached me today and wants me to recheck my irish but i don't think I could have done better than a C.

    you definitely get the money refunded if you are graded up. my daughter got her english checked last year on her teachers recommendation. grade jumped from C to B. money refunded. It took until late November before got result back. Know it means nothing in the full scheme of life but it might make a diffference between allowed do higher or lower for leaving cert. Also, if you get upgraded there is a good element of self satisfaction and might give you confidence in yourself. If teacher recommends it, I'd got for the recheck.

    Thanks so much.. I never knew it could be refunded. Ya I think I'm going to get science rechecked :) because I feel sooo bad when I look at the results and see a C.. Not sure about Irish because I'm afraid it could go down to a D.
