Headset for MW2

What is the best headset to get for MW2 or general FPS games. Will spend up to 80 euro on a good headset.

Turtle Beach Px21's are generally the most popular. Definitely worth the e75. Got mine in Argos;

Turtle Beach are crap best headset for the MW2 is the Sharkoon Xtatic V3's full 7.1 surround sound, great for hearing people trying to sneak up behind you, Turtle Beach are only stereo, ok they are €139 in Peats but you can use them on Xbox, PC and DVD players etc as they can use optical out's.

I can only find 5.1 surround for the sharkoons , if you have a link can you post it , i'd be interested to see it in comparison to turtle beaches and astro's for prices.

The OP didn't specify if it was for PS3 or 360, but if it's a PS3 then the Sharkoon is better then Turtle Beach as they don't have any surround option at present for the PS3.

Have astro A40, it's a good headset and reliable for me, has worked great for over a year. had TB and they broke after 2 weeks.

Cheapo, Xtra Vision Orb ear piece FTW :P

A bit OTT spending a load on a headset for gaming IMO unless your using it in comp matches or for general use ie: music and movies.

Seems everyone here uses expensive ones except for moi(most I spent was 50 euro on the limited edition MGS4 one) :P

Great for FPS's and even better for general media. Hook them up directly to your TV via optical and Robert's your father's brother!

hear footsteps, claymores etc a fair good bit away

I was playing MW2 and was out of ammo and I heard another player coming and laid into the grass, so not to be seen, the player walked by me, I got up and knifed him and took his scar.

without ninja or crouching its impossible to sneak behind me and my sharkoons
