pro engineer tutorials

evening all,

teaching myself pro engineer and have got the basics of how to create extrusion etc.

I want to do an assembly and my question is as follows

can you create parts as discrete entities within assembly mode? seems damn difficult to me to do this

all I can find in tutorials online is how to mate etc within assembly mode

I want to do my design work within assembly mode, I want to add a block mate it with a base plate and then make holes through the whole lot, then export the 2-d drawings of each component after

anyone got any good tutorial links that I can download?

PTC are currently offering a free Pro-E 30 day trial with tutorial dvd. Might be worth checking it out.

www.proe.com and www.mcadcentral.com/proe/forum/default.asp are helpful

Best way to learn Pro-E is to constantly challenge yourself, and try as many of its applications as possible: Sheetmetal, Mechanica etc

Use Pro-E daily myself - and enjoy the task of creating parts and components from 3D to production...
