Can anyone advise me how I backup up sat nav before I update the maps? Its my first time.

Is the route similiar to this?
    or not
    • plug the device into computer with USB cable.
    • Click My computer
    • Garmin device
    • Garmin folders/files
    • Copy files to another location (i.e external harddrive)
    • Create folder in external harddrive called Garmin.
    • Paste the Garmin folders/files into the new Garmin folder on external hardrive.
Advice would greatly be appreciated. Just want to know whats the correct way of doing the above.

    Thanks,

    teednab-el

If you can copy/paste via explored thats the easiest & the best way.
Newer devices on some brands no longer allow this sort of access.
