Caller to Pat Kenny says Cowen was drinking Carlsberg.

I am outraged and will certainly never vote for any party proping us this guy.

I mean the country needs a leader with a better taste :pac:

It sounds to me listening to that interview that Cowen's voice is messed up after a violent pukeing session... Ya know that deep gutteral voice ya get after a hard gruelling dose of throwing up on your knees at the jacks???

His 7 chins bouncing off one another normally make him sound pretty bad, maybe they're more of an issue early in the morning before sliding down his face?

    His constituents.
The pulbic do not elect the Taoseach (sp) just TDs. Its up to the party to choose a leader
    LOL :D

Eh sort of worked that one out ! I meant in the sense that he was not the leader of the parlimentary party at the last election, people rightly or wrongly voted for that chancer Ahern and de facto would assume he would be leader of the country if elected and not Cowen.

He keeps banging on about having the "mandate of the people to lead the country", eh he doesnt

Imagine a grown man drinking a few pints. Where will the madness end? He'll be smoking fags next or, god forbid, eating a dinner with meat on the plate. MEAT FFS!

He may have been drinking Carlsberg but it was laced with the tears of Irish children.

Nobody says he can't have a few pints. He sounded like a fúckin mess on the radio this morning. The guy is supposed to be our leader. He then brushes it off completely when asked about it.

He's not just a grown man. He's a grown man that is supposed to be doing his job to the very best of his ability.

 Jeez, it's one thing to have a go at him for his drinking or his poor political performance, but accusing him of fiddling children is a bit too far.... :p

If he couldn't stand up, and was crawling along the floor in a trail of piss and vomit, guzzling a pint, he'd still deny it.

Can anyone imagine Obama sounding as reckless, sorry, feckless, as that?

    And Cowen gets paid more?

    HA.

When Bertie was Taoiseach there was a story around for a week

He went on a fitness plan, lose two stone or so.
Apparently used to do cross country running in his youth.

We saw before and after pictures, no question that he definitly looked better and healthier with the weight lost.
And he got a lot of positive press over it

Brian Cowen's family must be concerned for his health. Lousy habits and high pressure job, will he be alive in ten years time?
Who knows but he needs some sound advice

But he has that brass neck to keep him safe.

what sane person thinks its a good idea to get slaughtered whilst coming up with ideas to solve the massive problems the country is facing?

at least the hair brained schemes probably won't be remembered come the morning.

They were mentioning it on the RTE one news: http://www.rte.ie/news/2010/0914/fiannafail.html
Minister for Transport Noel Dempsey has said he is 'absolutely astounded' at the controversy surrounding the Taoiseach's tone of voice in the Morning Ireland interview.

He said the reaction to Mr Cowen's performance was a 'sideshow' generated by Fine Gael.

Jeasus - Fine Gael got him drunk? LOL

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

There seemed to be a lot of stirring of drinks going on during the interview. Was it Beechams Ultra all in one or just a cup of tea?
