Awww yeah just saw one of my classmates acknowledgements in their dissertation!
I would like to thank my fellow NDS classmates for a very memorable year. In
particular, I would like to thank Ann Marie for the numerous enjoyable chats over coffee and Paul Gildea, whose infectious laughter lightened the strain experienced by the class so often, as we battled through the notorious NDS workload0 -

My sister says it's much easier to not get lazy if you have a commuting routine, as LOS said. Then again, my sister can't really miss anything anyway.

Yeah being constantly in some sort of routine is good for that, I'm finding it quite ok at this stage...it'll get better.

Well at least if you can do it at 17, then I'm sure I'll be grand at my age lol! Sucks having to wait like that, I have to wait up to 90 mins for my train/bus home at times:( And the good thing is that it's true about people commuting...they put in more work it seems \0/I commuted for first year, Meath isn't far but when you take everything into account it was about a 2 hour commute each way, I'd have to get a lift with my mother to the bus stop from my house which meant being up before 7 to just roll out the door, then when I'm in town I still had to make it out to dcu. Was just a nuisance coz I had no choice of buses really, I was always dependent on a lift with my mother to and from the bus stop so it was just whatever one she was getting to work. It also didn't help that anytime I got a later bus home my lift could leave me waiting for up to an hour, which in Winter and in the middle of nowhere really wasnt fun. Basically it was lots of waiting in rain and cold and buses not turning up and lifts not turning up and then lecturers cancelling stuff without telling you which happened a hell of a lot in first year. In the end I just didn't go in a lot coz it wasn't worth my while. First year was a breeze work wise but the headache of travelling is not something I'd like to repeat ever. Plus I was only 17 which made it really suck

Yup its great craic so far and only one week in:D Met lots of people so far, mostly girls and there's a female majority in my course too;)
Yeah I'm thinking it will...gonna have to ask her what weekend it is again tho lol!

I basically missed by bus by literally 5 seconds so had to wait 40 mins for the next one. My flight left at 20:25. I got to the airport at 20:15. Legged it through security and got to the gate at 20:20 but it was too late.
Slept at the airport and got the flight this afternoon at a cost of €170. 0 -

That must have sucked for the hours you lived there...such a horrible price to pay for 5 minsMissed my flight home. I now live in an airport. Duurrrrrrr.
