Not a bargain alert - but I know many people here might use CD WoW
It looks like their owners Stomp HK have gone into administration. I wouldn't be keen on buying stuff from them at the moment .

I have ordered 22 cds/dvds in the past month and 20 have arrived so far, of the other 2, 1 was posted on 30/08 and the other was ordered on Sunday and posted on Tuesday. I think your credit card company should cover you if anything goes wrong with them

From the Cheap Blu-Ray Movies blog, I think this sums it up well:

"It is a sad end for a company that at one point was the best retailer on the web – incredible prices, great voucher offers and outstanding customer service. However, in recent years they have suffered badly – rarely did they offer competitive pricing, customer service became atrocious and waiting times for ordered items were often measured in months. No retailer can offer such poor service and still expect to survive. Goodbye CD-WOW, unfortunately you won’t be missed…….."

    Hi there,

I can confirm that Stomp AU and Stomp HK have both gone into voluntary administration. The assets of the business, including CD WOW, have been purchased by a new Australian company, Surrealus.

The old owners of Stomp are no longer involved with the business in any way.

Orders placed with CD WOW! before the administration period started will, where possible, be fulfilled by the new CD WOW! (owned by Surrealus). Any orders that cannot be fulfilled will be refunded. There is no need to worry about your existing orders, or any new ones.

Us employees have been fortunate enough to keep our jobs. We are currently working with the new owners to re-establish the CD WOW! brand. We are working on reinstating our extensive range at great prices that our customers expect from us.

    Thanks

    Alex @ CD WOW
