confusion over holiday dates from work?

    When explainig the holiday dates you are taking in an email to your boss, if you say "Im going to be away from X ? until Y ?" is the Y date included in the holiday dates or is that the day your expected back? Im just not sure what way my boss is going to record the Y date for my holidays? ie. am i expected back the Y date or the day after the Y day?

    When a day is stated, it normally includes the whole day. Best clarify it with your boss though.

    Just tell him youll be back to work tuesday the 12th for example
