Where do you get your stock photos?

Been scouring the internet for a decent site that does photos I can use. What are the go to ones round here with you guys?

I tend to use iStockPhoto if I need something pretty generic.

For more professional, paid images it's usually iStockPhoto

If I can I'll use http://www.shutterstock.com otherwise I'll use http://www.istockphoto.com - the quality is great but they're so bloody expensive.

I was the same but hadn't had to buy any photos in a few years. I had to buy 2 last week and the smallest sizes amounted to 10 credits. 12 Credits cost €15.50 excluding Vat.

What a ripoff! I have 2 credits left which are effectively useless. Won't be using iStockPhoto again.

Yeah, the prices can vary wildly. I usually get away with 1-2 credits per photo.

iStock are variable. Yes they can be quite expensive, but to be honset I find you generally get what you pay for. We used to use photos.com who were cheaper, but the quality of images was poor. Cheesy, generic images. Very little useful iconography too.

Now Getty Images, they have prices that would make your eyes pop out. If I remember correctly, use of a single image, on a website for 1 year, can clock up a quote of about €900

I priced a picture of a doctor smiling, for web use, for an indefinite time period and was quoted €4,150. Needless to say I jumped at such a bargain.
