    Hi there,
I am just after getting myself a surround sound system which I will be using with my PS3. I was wondering what would be the best movie to test it out?

I was thinking about Saving Private Ryan. Any suggestions?

    P.

    Saving Private Ryan is fine.

Dog Soldiers is another I'd recommend.

There's one scene in particular that will give an "overhead" experience. ;)

    Cheers.

I am having a weird experience with my system. When I turn on my reciever my TV turns itself on and then I turn off the TV the reciever turns its self off. This happens when using the TV remote or using the On/Off button on the TV.

    Any ideas...?

Have you HDMI control enabled on your receiver? It might be enabled automatically. If it is on, disable it.

To be honest I have no idea. I will check when I get home. Hopefully it is on. Its starting to become a pain as the TV has to be on for me to listen to the Radio.

Check your TV also, if it's got something like Viera link (Panasonic) on, this could also be the issue. Although, HDMI control (or similar) would usually need to be active on the receiver.

I had a somewhat similar issue, but when I manually switch off the TV (using the TV button) instead of the remote, the radio mode worked fine.

It seems to be the reverse for you...
