Most Memorable U.S.A political propaganda slogans ?

"Axis of evil" ,"War on terror" comes to mind and the most recent one used by Hilliary Clinton, when referring to the middle east crisis ,"Enemies of peace". I think we will be hearing that phrase again!

How effective are these catch phrases? Who are they aiming these phrases at?

"Remember the Maine!" A slogan used when launching the Spanish-American War. The US population was whipped up into an hysterical frenzy when it was claimed by the sensationalist news media that the battleship USS Maine was sunk by the Spanish in Havana, Cuba, only to find out years later that a concentration of coal dust below decks in the air of a confined space with a spark was the likely cause.

    "It's the economy, stupid."

Not an official campaign slogan, but an internal campaign message that drove Bill Clinton's win against GHW Bush in 1992. Bush had 90% approval ratings in 1991, but Clinton quite effectively made the election all about the recession. It didn't help Bush that his own slogan from the previous campaign, "Read my lips -- no new taxes" had rebounded on him rather badly.

'Obama is a fascist nazi communist who wants to destroy this great nation. He is also a secret Muslim and possibly a paedophile. Though I'm just asking questions.'

    "It's the economy, stupid".

By far the most effective slogan in U.S politics in a longtime.
