Don't know if any of you saw this, probably did and I've missed it somewhere, but it's looking more and more likely that we'll be back here next year if channel 5 have anything to do with it!

"Richard Desmond is reportedly in negotiations to bring Endemol's Big Brother to Channel 5 next year.

According to The Guardian, talks are ongoing between Channel 5 executives and Endemol UK, but a deal is not thought to be imminent.

Desmond has already pledged to invest £300 million a year in programming to help boost Channel 5's share of the primetime TV audience.

He has also publicly expressed an interest in acquiring Big Brother, which finished its eleventh and final regular series last night on Channel 4. An Ultimate Big Brother event featuring former housemates is now running until September 10.

Channel 4 is said to have paid up to £70m to secure a new three-year deal for Big Brother in 2006.

However, TV industry sources claim that Desmond will now be able to pick up the show for around £30m due to its potentially declining popularity.

Big Brother hit a ratings peak in 2002 for series three, which saw 9.2m viewers tune in to watch Kate Lawler's victory in the final. Big Brother 11 has maintained a steady 2m+ for its evening broadcasts, rising to 4m for the final last night.

Should Desmond reach a deal with Endemol UK, it's likely that he will also resurrect the Celebrity Big Brother format considering that his media portfolio contains magazines such as OK and New.

Bookmaker Paddy Power has currently placed Big Brother as the 5/4 favourite to become Desmond's first major acquisition for Channel 5. A revival of Top Of The Pops comes next at 11/4, followed by Never Mind The Buzzcocks at 6/1 and Loose Women at 20/1."

Serious , hm fair dues to them they kept that low key enough! Mace would have been an appropriate name for them I think.

I did love Helen and Paul though, the whole thing was so innocent.

I'm pretty sure they're not. I saw her on TV last year saying it had been a mistake starting a thing with him in the house and they aren't friends anymore.

Helen and Paul were by far my favourite couple too. They were so cute. Brian was saying the other night that Paul is married and has a child now and that Helen is engaged so I doubt they'll be back. Would love to see them though:)

No, they got married last October and are still very much together.

Since Josie has left, they should put in that Woman who got her face ripped off by a Chimpanzee.

Michelle Bass? Has she an enemy in the house though?

Or does it mean there were enemies (Victor and Michelle) are are now watching together.

    Hmmm, should be interesting anyway.

I saw Nikki saying she would hate Michelle bass in the house :D

She said the same about Chantelle and they seem to be getting along just fine.

Nobody in there is going to do anything too controversial. They've all seen how Jade Goody spectacularly destroyed her public image on Celeb BB and they know it is a dangerous move to go back in there if you have any sort of "career" in the public eye.

Will John go tonight?....he upset the JJJ tweenies last night, so i guess that sealed his eviction warrent.

Its a closer eviction than anything we head in BB11 which were all one horse races.
Market thinks Big Mac survives marginally.

Coolio 4/6 to go, Mac 6/4.

I think Coolio potentially brings more to the fortnight than John, he gets more involved even if its rather cringworthy attempts to chat up the girls.
Macs moaning is funny, but thats effectively all he does. So for me I hope Coolio stays.

Its just a shame that its the two of them.

Marcus needs to grow up the big baby that he is! I'll buy him a soother. Awful bitter man.

Considering both Brian and Nick said they were definitely not going in, I wouldn't be too quick to believe any of the reports of previous housemates being upset at being left out. I read one the other day where Brian Belo said BB didn't want him. They trot him out on anything BB related so I don't believe he won't be involved in some way.

I wonder if the IDH will go in.

    He'd ruffle a few feathers.

Jason! Thats it, thanks. I remember seeing a "where are they know" type documentary and they spoke to him and he was soooo bitter over the whole thing. Vile man. They all should have been turfed out after fight night.

    Poor Chantelle...
    DS wrote:
Chantelle revealed to Brian this evening that she still has feelings for Preston and would kiss him if he tried it on in the house.

Earlier in the evening, Preston and Chantelle had a conversation about their break-up, when Chantelle reminded Preston that he "didn't care" that he was putting on weight and losing his teeth following their split.

"I didn't think you cared… I didn't think you were bothered when you came back," she said. However, Preston said that he "felt like a loser".

The two then discovered that they have both kept their wedding rings.

Later, Brian - who had witnessed the conversation - asked Chantelle if it bothered her that Preston was unaware about how much the divorce affected her confidence.

"He didn't know the full extent but I didn't realise he had [problems] as well, 'cause he did," Chantelle replied. "He just didn't care, he let his hair grow, beard grow, tooth went, put on weight - I didn't think anything of it.

"I used to think that he didn't care but now I think, 'Of course he did'. You know when you feel like you care but you're the only one who does?"

Chantelle then explained how re-entering the house and spending a lot of time with Preston has made her realise that she still holds feelings for him, adding: "It made me realise that I never actually got over it."

Brian reassured her that it was easy to feel confused after spending time with her former husband once again and even sharing a bed, but was surprised to discover that it has been three years since the divorce.

"I know, it's gone so quick and I never really thought about it - I went out, got a boob job, got my face done, went out, partied hard," Chantelle continued.

"It wasn't like... he didn't cheat, I didn't cheat - it was literally circumstances. I hated living so far away from home and stuff."

After some probing from Brian, she then revealed that if Preston tried to kiss her in the house, she would kiss him back.

"It's weird being so close to him and not being how I was with him," she explained. "The thing [that] I had with him - getting married to him - that's what I wanted, that was the really hard thing.

"I didn't even know I felt like this until I saw him again, I think I'm just confused."

I haven't seen BB tonight but I was watching another show where they did a review of tomorrow mornings papers. Front page of The Star : Chantelle and Preston to Marry Again.

    15708090.jpg

They didn't discuss it on the show.

I wonder if we're being duped again with this "tragic" unrequited love story.

I think Chantelle seems quite sincere about it so I'd be surprised if she was this good an actress.

Not boring at all. They were interesting and honest. It went downhill in recent years due to all the bores that couldn't live up to them.

According to the Live Feeders on DS, its not Rex. It was a clown that Victor decided to put in to scare them.

Rex was posting on Twitter all evening, then once the clown was "revealed" they claimed it was Greedy Mo posting under Rex's name.

Not sure what I believe...I hope it's Rex though!

It's amazing they were so scared of a clown. You'd think former BB contestants would be well used to them.

Yeah now they're saying Nikki is saying it was Rex.

Oh I'd love him to be back in there!

He'd be great! Better entertainment value than *yawn* Josie and John-James and the rest of them were in the 'real' Big Brother!
