    Hi,
Today I bought the bicycle computer in lidl. I have it all set up but the "computer" wont turn on. I've insterted the battery which took a while believe it or not and it just won't start. If anyone knows what's wrong please reply. Thanks.

I bought one of these back in April and it works fine. In fact it had more functionality than the more expensive one I have now. Maybe you just got a faulty one. Bring it back and get a replacement. Good Luck.

well ive had them for years (i usually buy new ones cos its cheaper than finding batteries) - i finally succumbed to an garmin edge 500

prob a dodgy one take it back

theres no plastic over the battery or the contacts where the battery is ? that needs taking off

    Doublecheck this.

Incidentally, I got one a few months ago, and its brilliant. Wireless, intergrated HRM, call me Ronald because I'm lovin' it.

Tryed to exchange it for a new one but they were all sold out so I got my money back. Can anyone recommend an affordable bike computer with as many functions as the lidl one?

i got mine on evans cycles but i had to get a pricematch from handtec.co.uk

(that way i got free shipping which handtec dont do)
if you want the cadence and heart rate

    then go here

    http://www.evanscycles.com/products/garmin/edge-500-gps-enabled-computer-with-cadence-sensor-and-hr-monitor-ec021845

and the send them the following link on their price match

    http://www.handtec.co.uk/product.php/2337/garmin-edge-500-heart-rate-monitor---speed-cadence

they sent me a link with the discount included

aan edge 500 with cadence and hr for £179.99
