Half an hour at most on the bike. Also, it's a Gaeltacht so with your username it should suit you down to the ground. Although I would point out that Dublin beat Kerry in 1977 ;)

I received the 50km pack in the post instead of the 160km pack so could some kind person go to the effort of posting up where the major and minor food stops are? I checked the SKT website and it does not differentiate between the food stops.

The starred areas on the map, I can't remember which ones are food stops and which are just water stops though:

If memory serves, Clonmel and Rathgormuck are sambos tea and cake, the others just bananas and water.

The SK Tour of Sligo had bottomless vats of hot chicken pasta at one of the food stops. Never been so deliriously happy in my life.

Aw, that's quite sad really. Never let it be said you're not easily pleased though.

Now you mention it, maybe there was pasta at Rathgormuck last year, or was that somewhere else? Or perhaps it was just a dream.....?

Was that the first stop, cuz you are right there was. Unfortunately the queues were ridiculous.

Really? Don't remember any pasta and the queues weren't that bad when I got there (only did the 100 last year).

No second stop, after riding through the fog over Powers the Pot, I'd forgotten until it was mentioned above. Queues were OK when I was there.

I thought it was the 1st stop with the tennis courts? After you round seskin you go back into the village no?

Maybe there was some there as well, I only stopped for 30s at that one because the other half was there. I don't remember pasta at the Clonmel stop, but I might have missed it.

Due to unforeseen circumstances I can't make the SK160. I've already purchased the entry for SK90/SK160.

I've got the documents they posted out with me in Dublin and happy to pass on to anyone for the cost price. Available to give them city centre Thursday and Friday after 6pm (preferably) and Saturday.

Sold to Mr mahoo! Enjoy the cycle everyone.

    Couple of questions...

    1. Can a friend register for you the day before or do you need to show up in person?

    2. Is it a mass start at 8.30am for the 160km or can you roll out before it?

    Cheers.

Last year a friend could register - this year I think they're giving out wristbands to get into food stops so they say you have to be there in person.
    **edit**
ALL participants must come in person to pick up their goody bag & jersey. We will be putting their wristband on at this time which will give them access to the food/water stops. Goody bag pick up is open from 2 to 6pm on Saturday & from 7am on Sunday morning at Dungarvan Sports Centre.
    **edit**

It's a mass start but there's no timing so you can roll out whenever you like - the mass start is a huge part of the enjoyment for me though - great sight to have 1500 cyclists heading up the pike hill out of Dungarvan.

It's a hill my granny would get up in 53/11 (and she died in 1969). Sorry Gran!
