And with Wi-Fi turned off :P

I'm on a "9 Hour" battery, which can do 2 and a half hours of browsing and about an hour and a half of gaming. Which is CLASS don't get me wrong. Nothing like Trine and Audiosurf on a bus :D

Can someone give me a mini speech which I can recite to my dad, saying why a new laptop is essential to my success in college; please :)

In your case, I don't think anything beyond "dude, I got medicine. I got medicine in TRINITY" is necessary. :D

For me she is. Officially have illegible hand writing, got a note and everything! :) Was why I could use a laptop for the LC this year.

Yeah simple but effective (about the Dude, I got).

Think I'm going to make them breakfeast in bed just to make sure of it:cool:

I was feeling depressed after my exam today so I went out and bought shoes to cheer myself up. They look kind of like these but grey

    niceboot.jpg

Plus they have fur on the inside so they will be all cosy and warm for the winter

Bought this today. Hopefully the ridiculous colour scheme will help deter hoodlums from stealing it..

While a single exam doesn't quite justify a post-exams shopping-spree, I had a 10 euro boots voucher, points on my boots advantage card and a 10 euro HMV voucher so today I bought myself:

    20090327-soap-and-glory-the-righteous-butter.jpg

    john-frieda-sheer-blonde-boost-mousse-200ml.jpeg

And of course a USB mouse for my laptop, but that was a necessity rather than a luxury so it doesn't really count as post-exam treats!

.. but I picked up the wrong size in the last top.. and lost the receipt. Now it kinda looks like a cape.. and not in a good way. And speaking of capes (which I've been waiting to come into fashion for a good three years or so, despite my friends' 'Harry Potter' taunts...

    Yay for A/W 2010!
