Returning Students Registration

    just looking on the NUIG website about registration, and it says that we can register since yesterday with our current password. i thought that they reset all the passwords in August (along with wiping the students' folder on the computers) and email us a new one or is this not the case anymore?

    My password from last year got me in...wouldn't make sense really to wipe passwords though...they don't take up space like the other stuff that's deleted and you need to have one anyways!! And if they did delete your password they'd have to give you the general enough one you get in 1st year ("Galway" followed by part of your DOB) until you changed it...

    As you can learn from the above jumble is that I have an inability to explain what I mean clearly so to summarize...it'd be stupid for them to, but hey, people do stupid things alot!!

    The password change last year was a once-off because they changed the whole log-in system. Usually they don't wipe passwords.

    ah right. just what my brother said about password resets. i thought it happened every year and they emailed you a new password.
