Bit of a random question, but I was wondering how Netsoc and DUCCS are doing these days. I was just looking at their sites and I can't find a good list of events or an idea of how many members they have.

    Any feedback would be appreciated!

I don't see how you can't see DUCSS's events, they're right on the website: several Games Programming Tutorials, a J Talk, Ice Skating, LANs and the AGM. DUCSS have circa. 250 members, and there's a lot of hanging out in the DUCSS room in the Hamilton, where there are decent PCs and a big LCD for consoles.

Can't say a whole lot about netsoc though.

Netsoc are going strong also. You can see a lot of the events we ran during term - several LAN parties, nights out, and of course weekly tutorials - on the site. This year we might try to give more notice of the weekly tutorials. I can't remember the exact figure, but I think out numbers last term were 300+, and there are always people hanging out in the room, getting some work done, having lunch, or just up to general madhax.

So yeah, both societies are pretty active! I look forward to seeing everyone at the stand during Freshers' week :D

Was having a read up on both myself on monday. Seemed clear enough to me.

Cant wait for the LANs, in the middle of one right now, waiting to die in DOW:DC:P
