Aparently it was within the last 3 years (as he's still in college).

The 10 grand might be bull, but it'd still be cool to start up a colege club

Not only is that doubtful, it's pretty much impossible.
I was the Clubs & Socs officer in the SU in college and I quickly learned that getting even meagre amounts of funding from the board was a pain the proverbial and required massive justification sometimes. I'd have had a hard time getting €10k for something big and important, like the rugby team, let alone something small and highly controversial like airsoft.
I'd say you could knock two zeros from that figure and you'd be closer to the mark. €10k is corporate sponsorship territory.

Second that Dex - I remember what it was like trying to get funding in UCC. Not the easiest. And that was during the so called boom...

Hum, I'll give him a shout and see what the actual story is. I though 10 grand was too good to be true (I had dreams of using it to buy loads of starter AEG's for people to try out, and then store them all in my gaf:rolleyes: if only it was that easy)

Looking to set up one in my college this year too!
Although if we got 200 quid I reckon we'll be doing well :)

I couldn't get €600 for a football team to replace their old, worn kit bags and get the new players kit bags. If he can get €10k for an airsoft society, I want his number and contacts, and a list of the people he's performing sexual favours to.

DIT are forking it out from what I hear.

Trinity you have a two year probation period for funds though it seems. Might still be worth doing for group rates.
