    Apologies in advance for what is probably a simple problem but how can i get into the same free for all match with my friends. tried this morning but had no luck on xbox 360

    You cant do it in a party. One person has to go into a free for all and the rest have to join. But its public and there will be others playing.

    You can play a private match.

    Just start at the screen where it says Find Match.
    Then invite all your friends to game (max 5 + you) once they're all there then find match: Free for all. Sorted.

    Pretty sure you can't bring a party into FFA.
    Join Session in Progress would be your best bet

    He means a private FFA match. You can invite friends to a FFA match, and they can join a private match in progress, but you can't make a party and go find a match in FFA as you said.

    Ok , Make a party chat , bring in the amount of friends that you want in a ffa match, lets say 5 plus yourself , as soon as you search for ffa , press the middle button go to party chat and click on invite party to game, sometimes it will work straight off , sometimes it may take a couple of try's.
