No Signal

So randomly on tuesday I think ( dont want the tv much ) my upc box decides to drop back to the initial setup asking for area code.

I enter my area code for sligo (271) and im given a screen showing

Locality : Sligo
Network ID: xxxx ( think this is unique to my box )
Home frequency 291000

Signal Strength ( this is about 2/3 full )
Signal Quality ( this is totally empty not a pip in there )

i press ok to scan for tv channels and it always returns nothing not a pip, if i take out the cable and put it directly into my tv I can tune in the analogue channels but cant get any life out of my digital box.

probably going to call the cust support number today but before I do the customer support dance does anyone have any suggestions ?
