wow. this is an intriguing mix of styles. it's as if Iron Maiden, Mayhem, Dead Can Dance, and Amber Asylum got together in a concert hall, and went at it in a Bacchanalic orgy of music-making.

That said, I do believe a vast amount of "folk metal" is very contrived and rather silly. However, I believe Cannibal Corpse' "Hammer Smashed Face" is a brilliant classic, thus anything I say or suggest could be taken with a spadefull of salt. Ahem...
