Laptop won't boot after Ubuntu restart

Last night, I booted into Ubuntu. It had been a few days so the update manager had alot of updates to install. It installed them, then said it had to restart. I worked away for a while, then restarted. It went straight into Grub (It normally starts with the Windows Boot manager). So I went into Vista. I hibernated before going asleep. When I got up this morning, it wouldn't boot. It says "No module name found". It won't boot into Vista or Ubuntu, and I had to use an Ubuntu Live CD to get it started. I used GParted and marked the Ubuntu partition as boot but I get the same message. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

    Is Grub still there?

It doesn't appear to be. I've tried marking the Ubuntu partition for boot but to no avail.

try reinstall grub from live cd
    sudo mount /dev/sda2 /mnt
    sudo grub-install --root-directory=/mnt/ /dev/sda
    sudo update-grub

I managed to get this problem fixed. I did it by using the Windows Vista CD and following the tutorial here, however it did not work on step one so I had to follow the instructions in step three. This restored the Vista bootloader and I was able to boot into Vista.
Then, when Windows was re-installed I used Easy BCD to add the Linux bootloader (GRUB) and now it's back to normal.

    :)
