Its different strokes for different folks , not everyone has the same playing style or weapon and perks when getting a nuke .
I'm assuming when he made this thread he was looking for idea's , there is no right/wrong way in getting one.
I got one with the first recon class but i wouldnt recommend it and i'd be the first to hold my hand up and say i got lucky with it.

are we supposed to guess what is playing style is though ? what his favorite weapons are ? How can you give him tips if he gives you no info . I simple gave him a set-up in my oppinon that could be used on any map to get a nuke

I wasnt slating anyones gameplay ........I was telling shaw you don't need danger close to get a nuke theres other perks that I think are just better all round .

That's the whole point of tips though isn't it? As in plural. We don't know what his style is, so different methods can be used to get the same end...

I wouldn't imagine Danger Close alone is the best bet, but linked with OMA it seems like a useful alternative. I've come close to 25 kill MLN & Tac knife on Derail, but without the nuke on. Best for that map? Who knows. I like it because of the cover. But if I'd have had Danger Close on instead of Lightweight, might I have gotten more kills? Worth some testing I think.

The first one I got was on a TDM game on Highrise, the others were all FFA on Wasteland, I dunno why just find it the easiest to get them on that. I might try for one later actually, this thread has me in the mood

Where i was talking about the ac-130 thing I usually have 5/7/11 as my killstreaks, went 33-1 on wasteland just yesterday in a tdm doing that.

My best killstreak is still 35 from that map.

If it works for you, you can rip them apart.

And the funny thing is I used to hate Wasteland, and in truly despise it, when I first started playing, because I sucked at sniping and used to go into the bunker, aside from the times when I spawn in there cos my team is there I honestly couldnt tell you the last time I purposely ran in there, its just suicide, stay around the edges and pick people off is the best way/

Yeah, Wasteland is great for racking up killstreaks. I got my longest killstreak there, 33.

I played cs/css at a decent competitive level for 7 or 8 years m8, i know what team work is. what i meant was... its basically taking something that is quite hard for alot of people to get, and making it ALOT easier. I guess its abit of a change from the normal "strats". I personally pref getting nukes (I only went for them on my first prestige) by myself and suprising my team when we are just about to lose with the most anoying sound in the world !!

Now that you've done it, and won't be suffering from jitters, have a try with the OMA class and see what you think. Any different? I'd be interested to get your opinion, since you've just gotten your first with a "normal" class.

Nice, hard map to get one in as its so confined in places and theres a lot of cover for people to get into when the air support is doing its thing

Killstreak set up was Harriers, AC130 and Nuke. I spawn trapped them at the car park at the top of the map. First round I let out got me 4 kills. I knew it was on then

I've set up 2 classes with OMA to give that Hardline/Danger Close Pro one a go. I'll be on tonight and will report back with more details.

when i decide to use the nuke as a killstreak i allways use harriers, chopper, nuke........once i get harriers i carefully plant it to get 1+ kill with the airstrike then laylow until my harriers gets me to 11 then (depending on the map) its pretty simple to get to 25 kills to be honest..

i think its ridicilous how kills with your killstreaks count towards your killstreaks it should only be your weapon + equipment that can get you a killstreak, would make the game better and harder for boosters, also the nuke should never have been put in the game...rant over felt good to finaly get it off my chest:o

got my first nuke last night blocked at 4 in the morning, been playing since the day it came out and only managed to do it **** faced,

demolition favela map, running with commando and knifing like ****, harrier over bomb site A, chopper boom nuke, 28 kills ! was delighted !!

gutted got no emblem,

Sort of agree. The amount of times a harrier comes in and then a pavelow straight away afterwards is unbelievable. Thank god care packages don't count!
