    Hey folks,

I've a problem with my laptop screen, which will entail taking the laptop apart to try to fix.

Will taking the computer apart affect the Linux OS at all?

I think it shouldn't, but would just like my mind put at rest.

    Cheers,

    Des

I'd highly doubt it. It's not like Windows where replacement of two or more major hardware components - the definition of which seems to be in flux - requires license reactivation of the install.

    Hey Des.. hows things?!
I've done it a few times without any problems ... not with a laptop though just an ordinary pc.
Can't see how doing what you're planning will cause any problems.

As the others have said you should be grand.

Only thing to look out for is if you would be disturbing the hdd cables or connections but for the screen you shouldn't be going near it i'd say.
