    I heard someone in the lobby going on a rant using that word repeatedly, so when the game commenced, I reported him and actively encouraged the team to do the same.

    They had been in the lobby for a few games, I killed them a few times but not enough to warrant that crap. I may go back private.

    Funny how tough people can get behind a headset, face to face there wouldnt be a problem! i have to say i find irish people some of the worst for online retardation,the worst abuse i ever got was off my fellow country men, they called me the n word ALOT! they were sh#t too...

    Does that justify it so? I don't care what he or anyone else calls me. It's just extremely annoying when your trying to play the game, especially when they are on the same team.

    Yes, easy solution is the just mute them, which I did in the end. I've changed my voice communications back on friends only now anyway.

    i got a rake of abuse several games in a row a while back when i started using the spas 12 with steady aim . it actually goes much further when you aim from the hip so when i was running around hip firing and blowing people away at a small bit of range i got a lot of abuse about being a modder . i just thought it was silly i mean if i can mod my game so a gun can shoot slightly further why not just mod it so i can take unlimited damage or never run out of ammo . i had my fair share of deaths in the game and it just didnt make sense to me :(

    Righto.. I'll be posting a similar thread in the console section.

    But last night from about 12am if not a little before. One of my accounts, HvG_Ade, suddenly went online when I was playing under my el_NiNo account which is the one a lot of you's from here added.

    Now I was ****ing shocked, scared, angry, basically everything you could imagine. More scared and shocked than angry. This person using my account after a few messages sent back and forth eventually told me that me and my mate/clan member(at the time) were abusive to him apparently over him using noob tube, juggernaut and martyrdom. The thing was....... it was 7/8 months ago on COD4 :confused: He knew my address, my name and changed the password etc. so I couldn't sign in.

    So as I was messaging him and waiting for his replies, I was on my laptop changing every password from Gmail, Yahoo, Paddypower, deleting my inbox(s) and so on. This was arguably the most stressful as I had my laptop and my GF's netbook opened up deleting everything as quickly as I could.

    Somehow I stayed calm in my messages to him, and wasn't abusive. But after about 20 messages or so + an apology from me for whatever I said or did to him back then, he gave me account back with the different password.

    I changed every password on my PSN accounts(3). Some of you's might have noticed I was signing in and out after 12 @ a mental rate and I was online till nearly 5 which I haven't done in ages. Well that was a result of the above.

    Now I'm 99.9% sure I've never gave my details to anyone else.. EVER.
    .
    So to conclude, seriously watch who you **** with lads :o

    Out of interest, what kind of password did you have on your PSN account? Was it easy to crack? How long was it? Password complexity etc?

    It was around a dozen figures, a mix of numerical and letters. Nothing to do with my name or anything personally related. It wasn't easy to crack.. or so I thought.

    If he had your e-mail addy there are people out there who can use programs to help crack a password.
    Amazing that he gave it back to you considering he was holding the grudge for 7/8 months.

    Oh I do know that mate.

    That's the thing I don't get. All he wanted me to do was apologize to him. Nothing more, nothing less and he gave my new password back.

    I've reported the incident anyway. Sony will do **** all I imagine.

    Yes there are many programs out there to crack passwords, that use a variety of methods, I've used a few of them (work related, it wasn't me btw!).

    Your password would have taken some time to crack, given the length and complexity, also depending on the speed & power of the machine he cracked it from.

    EDIT: yes, count yourself lucky all he wanted was an apology. Obviously extremely important you change all your passwords ASAP!

And if teams get messed up and one ends up with us it just escalates.

    After one particularly bad incident I had to ask my friend how he could slag the other guy off and never really get angry about it - because if it were me I'd go spare, disconnect, mute the guy.     Had a knobjockey on my team last night before I got into a Boardies party, was screaming blue murder every time he was killed - moron was running around Wasteland and getting mown down by snipers. I was in two minds about supporting him as it was annoying but also amusing to hear the whinging.
