x10 mini pro OR htc wildfire?

Hi all, torn between the two phones. getting my first android mainly for friendstream/timescape and checking the occasional email. I wouldn't be a power hungry user so the size of these phones appeal to me. I would also be getting them sim free so don't need to worry about a contract. any advice on which to go for?

htc wildfire because of android 2.1 and it's sure of a froyo update. plus, i find the x10 mini/pro too small.
