How does the ntl aerial work ?

Hi im liveing in dundalk and there is an aerial on the roof as far as i no its is an ntl one i can pick up the irish stations and a few of the english ones if i get on to ntl {upc} will i be able to get sky 1 mtv etc by paying for them on the tv with out the digtal box they give you as in my old house that had ntl by cable…

If it's MMDS (sounds likely) you'll need a digital box. The digital is much better than analogue these days anyway. I think 1908 is the phone number.
