If you can get one nuke in a game theres no reason why you can't get 2/3 . I don't actually play domination myself (played it 2/3 times) but it goes on alot longer than tdm . All you need is for the enemy team to not shoot down your air support/don't run out of time/don't run out of kills

If you can get 1 quickly you can get more

Domination is handy for racking up kills because if you have a comptent enough team who takes 2 points then leaves the enemy have 1 you know where they'll be spawning, works better on some maps than others, being spawntrapped at A on salvage is a pain in the balls as you get tubed out of it constantly.

Yeah, I try to play that way if I'm on Domination, but the trouble is if you're on a dominant team, so few people can resist either bagging all three flags, or running too far into their spawn and flipping it back to your one. If even one person on your team does that, then it makes it hard for everyone as the spawn keeps jumping.

We were playing a game on Highrise a couple of months ago, and no matter how many times I tried to explain to some of our teammates, they kept running into the A spawn looking for kills or to cap the flag. They couldn't grasp that we had them totally pinned down and were racking up our kills without having to lose our advantage. Instead the spawn flipped back to C a couple of times, so you have to run back and clear them out before going back to the A trap.

Not too sure if your talking about me there, but anyway it all depends on the opposition , if the oppostion is half decent then yeah leave them have a flag , if not , i want to get as many points as possible to rank up , if it means taking the third flag yeah if it means breaking up the spawn system yeah, its not hard to know where they will spawn and only takes about 30 sec's to repeat.
The game is over quicker and match bonus is usually higher

Certainly wasn't a dig at you at all. In that particular game, I remember you ended up with 50+ kills because you were sitting around the B flag picking them off as they came out of A. It was more Mark etc who I was thinking about, because he kept running into the A Offices.

Interesting point about the match bonus. I never really thought of that. So the more you win by, the higher it is. Sounds obvious when you say it, but I never really thought about it before.

Regarding ranking up, it's hard to know which will benefit you more. Getting constant kills on somewhere like Highrise, or getting an extra 2-3 flag caps than you'd normally get. 3 flags gets you another 450 points, which is the same as 7 kills. If you can get those 7 kills because you are spawn trapping a team, they can easily turn into >10 or more as you get your Air Support. Equally, on certain maps it's not as easy to spawn trap than on others and you'll struggle to make up the difference with kills. (But don't forget you get XP bonus' from calling in AirSupport a certain number of times, so regular controlled games of Domination will help this a good bit)

Plus as we both know, sometimes you just come up against a team of cretins who want to play TDM. Remember that game on Derail recently where they didn't take their opening flag and basically ignored them the whole game. I think we ended up winning 200-13 or something daft like that!
