Flatmate showers

Now we've all heard the stories... Possibly even experienced the flatmate who takes all the water with him 30 minute showers.

But I'm experiencing this shít first hand here big time.. I live with 2 other guys.. One of them showers for 30 - 40 mins, then turns the shower off 5 mins later he turns it back on for another half hour, turns it off for 2 mins then on again for another 20 - 30 mins.. All without leaving the toilet.

I'd be bursting to use the jax and have to head into the neighbors. On more than 5 occasions now he's really starting to piss me off.

I'll probably ask him but I don't know if I really want to know...

So I've come to the sacred AH to ask for the advice of the wise folk that browse these lands..

You got to get up earlier and into the bathroom first, once your in there it's a sacred place and you shouldn't be disturbed.

Count yourself lucky, I went to college in the last recession, we had only 3 pairs of shoes between 4 flatmates, last up had to go to college barefoot.

I lived with someone like that who used to leave the emersion on for hours so he could taken loads of 60min showers a day so i used to turn it off after a half an hour so he'd only have enough hot water for a 20 min shower. Try that?

Just talk to your housemate. I had a housemate who did that shower, break, shower, break, shower and it annoyed everyone in the house. Why do they need a break and what the hell do they do in a shower for so long??

Just tell them, they prob don't realise

Sounds like he as OCD. People with that shower/wash hands etc for long periods of time or over and over again.

Maybe he gets off on the water hosin off his bits? Saw some middle aged woman died from that last year. She had some fiendish shower attachment made up by a friend for her, and it did terrible damage to the inside of her happy place!

The first thing I'd do is say "You have 3 minutes to get out of the bathroom or I'm going to piss in your bed". Then piss in his bed.

The second thing I'd do is hand him a huge electricity bill and tell him that you're sick of paying for his hour long showers; if he wants to waste the hot water he can pay for it himself.
