1.6 TDI Remap

    Hi all. Just after getting my hands on a 1.6tdi CR Octavia.

    Would love to know if there's any remap options available for this type of engine yet. Anyone have any experience working with this new VAG engine?

    There are plenty of people that do remaps for diesel Vag engines.

    That's the thing - most cater for the 1.9 pd and 2.0 cr/pd engines however I have yet to find one that can work with the 1.6 cr yet.

    Hopefully they'll crack it at some point.

    You'll probably need to look at getting a tuning box and not a remap for that engine.

    EDIT: Found a tuning box for the "Octavia 1.6 TDI CR FROM 2009" which I'm guessing is your car: www.tuningbox.com, westward engineering in Meath do them www.westwardeng.com.

    The new CR 1.6tdi is running a new generation Siemens ecu , It will be a few months before testing and development work is done

    Not only that, but you would be very close to the voiding warranty line if anything went wrong with it. I'd leave it well enough alone until its out of warrranty and then do what you want with it.

    As its a new and un-proved engine, nobody really knows how it will survive.
