Weekend away with Hubby

    Hello

    I'm coming to Westmeath on the 25th June for the weekend with DH. It's a surprise birthday treat (also married 20yrs) so I want the weekend to be special.

    I've booked us into the Wineport Hotel on a Romantic Package deal and all I need to do now is find places to go and things to do (other than the usual!)

    Are there any shows/concerts that weekend?

    There's nothing around the Wineport anyway, and it will cost you at least €20 on a taxi into town.

    Check out the Dean Crowe to see if there is any shows on.

    If the weather is nice you should try and get out on Lough Ree. What's more romantic than renting a pedalo from these!!: http://www.baysports.ie
    The Wineport might have a boat you can take.


    The events on this weekend are:
    Athlone Agri show on Sunday!!
    There is a also a rowing regatta at Coosan on Saturday.
