Hi im considering starting a new venue in Dublin. Before i do this i have to figure out my costs. I would be employing 3 bouncers. Does anyone know how much each bouncer would cost from 9 till 3. Thanks

Minimum rates of pay for people employed in the Security Industry are set by the Joint Labour Commission, details of these pay rates are available on the Labour Court website, here's the link to the page you're after:

For a Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri night each man would be paid €76.86 i.e. €10.01 x 6 + €16.80 overnight rate.

    For a Sat and Sun night it'd be €87.18 i.e. 6 x €10.01 + €16.80 x 3 x €3.44 Sunday rate.

That'd leave weekday guys on €12.81p/h and weekend guys on €14.53p/h.

When I was working as a doorman, the rates would vary from €13 - €17p/h.

€100 a night is the normal, licenced or not.

But clearly unlicenced is illegal, and therefore not recommended.
