1220C Printer problem

Help,
(Mods, if wrong forum, please move)

My baby, ie my 1220C HP A3 printer is on the blink.

I put new black ink into it the other week. Loads of ink left in cartridge but it is printing lines not straight?? What I mean, a straight line is coming out staggered.. Bit exagerated but like this: -_-_-_-_

I have this for years so dont have manual as I have NEVER had a problem before with it. Also, have to lodge application and resubmit RFI before Friday so need it back up asap.

If anyone has any info to solve this and bring her back to life, much appreciated.

Rayjdav,

Have a HP designjet and sometimes have issues with print quality just as you describe.
Sounds like you have to align the printheads or maybe clean them, quick google search brought me here:

Thanks for that. It appears to have fixed itself this morning, an hour before the client arrived, tf

. Had done the aliugn cartridges etc but didnt work. Sure its back now and printing clearer than it has for a long time.
At least I have the online manual now. Thanks a million.
