downloading programs from UPC Digital +

Hi Guys, Just found out i am now able to get HD in my area which i want to order ASAP I have lots of stuff recorded i haven't watched yet. Is there anyway i can download it to external harddrive/laptop etc. Cheers,

No, there is no way to copy or download material directly from the DVR's HD. The only way is to use some kind of TV capture device on a PC connected to the SCART output and play back all the material you want in real time and record it on the PC. Tedious and time consuming, and you'll get a degradation in quality as everything is being converted from digital to analogue and back to digital again.

You could always keep your old digital+ box and avoid the 40 euro activation fee. But your bill will increase by 10 euros a month.

What about connecting it to a dvd-r, and playing it back that way?
