Switchmedia question

    Hey all, quick one, every time there is new business registered, switchmedia sends a letter about available domains, etc. I have few business names and after registration of each of them I got similar letter.

    Anyone have idea where they source those details??

    Tried to call CRO but they told me they not provide such information...

    Any ideas??

    CRO release a list of all companies formed in the last month. The company and RBN numbers also increment by 1 for each new business / company formed.

    They have a script from there which uses the company name to get the details from CRO (no captcha entry required)

    I *think* a few companies are licensing the data from CRO.

    A few companies bulk buy this data from the Companies Office e.g vision-net. Unfortunately a few of them seem to to be selling part of this data on to marketing companies. There are a number of companies including accountancy firms who send out unsolicited mail to new companies - Not just switch.
