Serious question but do North Koreans even know that they are in the world cup?

According to North Korean historical literature, Kim Jong Il was born in a log cabin inside a secret base on Korea’s most sacred mountain, Mt. Paekdu. At the moment of his birth, a bright star lit up the sky, the seasons spontaneously changed from winter to spring, and rainbows appeared.

This contradicts the way less interesting Western accounts of his birth, which state the dictator was born in a guerilla camp in Russia, while his father was on the run from the Japanese.:P

Perhaps they could show the footage of
South Korea's 2-0 win over Greece
today and pretend it was actually
    North Korea 2-0 Greece
    ?

Hardly news, been known for ages, check the date of the article

Cake, and grief counseling, will be available at the conclusion of the test

It's more to do with Kim's own craziness than it is about anything political. He occasionally kidnaps actors he's a fan of and forces them to attend parties thrown on their behalf.

If the team play badly, will they be sent to a "re-education facility" upon return?

north korea's media will probably tell the people, north korea are the world cup champions ..north korea 10 usa 0.. some really ****ed up place .. they probably will stage a fake match with actors showing their "glorious" team with a replica world cup:(

It's a frightening regime where the dictator claims to have a divine mandate to rule over the country & it's people refusing to call democratic elections while entirely destroying the economic and social fabric of the state.

Jesus ....now that does sound somehow familiar

No need to DPR Korea played Greece in a friendly a few weeks back, 2-2 draw, edit out the Greek goals and it's a 2-0 win. Before the game, show a clip of Greece winning the European Championships. When North Korea win the game, they've beaten the best team in the world and won the World Cup. Easy!

Now I better go and give Uncle Kim a call to fill him in on my suggestions...

    Kim Jong-ill-in-the-head. Mad bastard.

The state-run "media" there will report that North Korea won the World Cup, and it wouldn't even be a huge surprise if they reported that Kim Jong Il scored the winning goal himself. They, for instance, claim that he invented the hamburger, sinks an average of 3 or 4 holes-in-one per round of golf, and that he is the world's most popular statesperson.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,099 ✭✭✭Dean820

WHAT?!? Kim Jong-il didn't invent the hamburger?

I love Kim Jon-Il. He just goes around doing what he wants. Imagine you had that power, I know many of you would do some much more wacky shit

Yes, Ireland's really similar to North Korea - I hope I don't get sent to one of the labour camps in Mitchelstown.

    Mitchelstown... shudder...

Unless they have the good sense not to return ?

Kim Jong-Il hits 3/4 hole in ones every time he plays golf. Says so on Wiki so it must be true. What a man.
