Just bought a Mudhoney ticket for their October gig in Galway. I'm not the biggest fan (I do like their music but I don't play them that often) but it should be a decent gig. Although I might end up going on my own as I'm not sure if any of my mates would be willing to go.

I have Our Love To Admire from a few years ago and I liked it a lot. For me it was the kinda album you could always come back to if you werent in the mood for finding new music and just listen to familar enjoyable stuff, but I guess I never really looked them up properly to find more of their stuff.

OK Computer doesn't suck. It's not brilliant either. It's just... OK.
In Rainbows on the other hand? Decent album.

Overall, good but overhyped.

As a card-carrying t-shirt wearing Radiohead fan, I must encourage you not to give up on them too soon.
Have you listened to The Bends? That's a fantastic album, closer to "normal" rock than a lot of their later stuff, if that's what you're into.

Also this is worth a listen. It shall remain one of my favourite songs of all time, despite it being on one of the albums with a fair bit of filler.

lulz, but srsly, don't bring Radiohead's legacy into disrepute. I wouldn't take too kindly to that.

I do plan to follow up with The Bends, Kid A and Amnesiac... I haven't given up on Radiohead, In Rainbows was great, but OK Computer was not the godsend some Radiohead fans told me to expect.

That said the other Radiohead albums will take a while as I promised to listen to Loveless after hearing a certain music forum rave about it constantly, and there's a few of the albums I was told to listen to in order to teach me that all rap isn't bad. And I still need to listen to at least one full Bowie album....

I quite dislike hearing 'that band is ****...that music is ****...'

You get the idea. Discussing the merits (or otherwise) of a band is one thing, but just saying 'that's shiiit' makes you look ignorant. Soz.

Ziggy Stardust! You'd have heard about four of the songs already but it's such a glorious album.

And stick with OK Computer, it took me a couple of listens for it to click.
