Anyone else feel they'll be stuck for time?

Yea, I certainly was! I thought it finished at four, so I rushed they unseen poetry and made a mess of it! :(

For the one where you did country life, did you just give a short summary of the story or mention where the countryside was n the story?

Yea, that's what I did. My studied scéal was An tAdh, so it was kinda streching it...:(

Guys, doing a post mortem on the exam is not good for ye!:p Ye aren't the only ones who thought the exam was hard-hundreds, maybe thousands of other JCers around the country are probably really, really diappointed with it, and from what I've read, it sounds like it was really hard:(

You need to have a good PMA-positive mental attitude!:) These are the positives ye can take now:
-Ye were able to write something for each question, even if you didn't exactly answer the question, ye will get marks for it
-There are plenty of people just like you all around the country, who found the exam very difficult
-Ye have now finished 4 of your exams!
-It's Friday tomorrow and ye have the whole weekend ahead of ye!

Guys, I'm gonna sound like a hippy saying this but.....BE HAPPY!!:D:);)

    Link to Paper 2 :(

Worst paper ever I feel like crying... The one poem I knew couldn't be used cause all the options were on a duine like wtf?

The seen fiction was even worse the novel we done( Aililiu Bop Siuaidi) didn't fit a single one of the headings and I had nothing as back up!

Poetry was hard the fiction was hard and the letter was the only okay bit but still...

i feel exactly the same coming out the exam i wanted to cry !
i did aililiu bop suiaidi and i did life in the city even though it didnt really fit but then nothing fit so it was terrible. the headings they gave were just horrible

i used on t-ozoin and i did duine feargach it was the only one of my poems that would fit . the only good part of the exam really was the letter they were nice but the rest was horrible !

I used "An tÓzon". That was exactly my thinking.
I was going to do that but instead did teilifís with duine grá.

Unseen Prós: Didn't have a clue. Was stuck for time so only have 2 very poor answers. I'd happily take 5/15 in this section.
Studied Prós: Saol faoin tuatha + Díoltas An Madra Rua. Happy with. More than an A4 page
Unseen Poems: understood the poodle poem. Answered all the questions on it. I'd say I did fairly well. 13/15?
Studied Poems: Duine i ngrá + Teilifís. Again, sh'up Damo! :P
Litir: Did the holiday one. Very happy with.

Well at least I'm not the only one who found that paper extremely difficult!
Look everyone, if all the JC HL irish students in the country found that hard, they have to go really easy on us! They're not gonna give out like 100 As and Bs in total. Even people in school who were practically fluent in Irish were close to tears coming out. I hope they dont go this tough on us again for LC

I did the same novel aswell.. I looked at the pros and filiocht first as i was doin me studied questions at the start and it kinda threw me off.. But I looked at the options again and used 'Saol sa Scoil' for aliliu? Thought it was a long shot but ended up fillin a page and a half and threw some quotes in for good measure :D Could see some faces drop when they saw the studied questions though... thank god for my knack for irish :D Still it coulda been just aloada a waffle :pac:

With Paper I being so comfortable across the board, I had a gut feeling that Paper II would balance it out.
I scrambled to get my Studied Pros & Filiocht Questions answered and then the Litir. On return to do the Unseen Pros & Filiocht, I felt the pressure was really on and just got the jist of both of them and then answered the questions.
Did anybody else feel it could've been a two hour exam? Time is a bitch! Like considering the Three hour break we had between the two??
Oh, and I felt the "B" Options were quite hard to apply to my studied stuff so had to do it in a "round about" sort of way. The options were more specific then usual.
The idea of them using "duine" in all of the poetry instantly ruled out the use of a poem about animals or things other than people. I still cheekily tied it in with Luichin sa Scoil... Lets hope the personification covered my arse for it :D:pac:

    Páipear i: Ar Fheabhras!

unseen poetry... oh sweet lord... a poodle??i :P didnt understand the 2nd poem AT ALL!! whatsoever

so answered all on the poodle poem :L

studied poetry....i chose dunie uaigneach.. i used ceann de mhannix talking bout how lonely she was since her dog mannix died... did grand :)

the letter.. Wrote about the holiday... it was easy... but i made it very dragging and boring... ah sure :P

Ew ew ew. That Paper 2 was really horrible. The only scéal I knew was "An tAdh", and none of the themes really worked well with that. A lot of people did nature, and talked about the sea, but I did life in the country side...it was a long shot though!

The poetry was impossible! The themes, well they were hardly themes! Did anyone have anything prepared to write about a person...?

    :(

LOL ! An T-Adh works for countryside.. sure the boys live in the countrysidebeside the sea :) NO WORRIES :)

I cannot believe they only gave us types of people for the studied poetry! I was doing An tÓzón and it doesn't even have a fúcking person it it!

Yeah same with another class in my year. I hope Irish teachers contest it or something and they decide to mark it easier or something

Because of the personification it should be okay but what the fúck were they thinking for the two studied sections?!

I said the poet used personification in the peom: therefore, the ozone layer is talking. Because of the personification, the ozone layer is a person. :/

We studied one properly, half studied another (she left on maternity leave in the middle of it and we didn't continue it with our new teacher) and our new teacher gave us a handout on another with no explanations etc, and I was out that week.

We did 5 fully with sample answers for each.
